  • Which room is right for my event?
    Each of our spaces offers a different capacity and energy, our recommendations are as follows: Lotus Room – 30 seated or 15 on Yoga Mats. This room is suited for events or classes lasting a few hours, yoga, meditation, and circles. Zeus Room - 60 seated 18 on Yoga Mats. This room is suited for full-day, larger events such as workshops, retreats, trainings, and seminars. The kitchen and outdoor facilities make it well-suited for serving lunch or tea breaks.
  • Can I come see the venue?
    Yes, we always recommend viewing the space before booking to ensure it is the right venue for your event. Email Reception at reception@thelifecentre.nz to arrange a time. Viewing times are between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • What is the booking procedure?
    Once you have viewed the space, please email Reception with your requested dates to check availability. Regular Hire or Multi-day Event · A 50% deposit of the total hire-age or $500, whichever is the lesser is required to confirm the booking(s). · The payment and Agreement are required within 4 days of the booking being made. · Full Payment of the outstanding balance is required 30 days before the event. · A bond payment of $250 is required 4 days before the first event and needs to be paid via Debit or Credit Card. Casual Hire 1. To confirm a booking, a Casual Hirer must, within 4 days of making the booking: accept the Terms and Conditions of Hire; and make full payment of the relevant Venue Hire Price. 2. If the payment is not made within 4 days after the booking is requested, the relevant booking will be automatically cancelled. 3. For bookings made more than 6 months in advance, the hirer can choose to pay a 50% deposit of the entire hire-age and pay the outstanding balance 30 days prior to the event. 4. A bond payment of $250 is required 4 days before the first event and needs to be paid via Debit or Credit Card.
  • When can we start setting up for our event?
    Set up and pack down time must be included in the Hire period and the facility must be vacated by the time stipulated in the booking. Additional time can be requested for a fee.
  • How much does it cost to rent each room?
    Prices as of Jan 2023, though subject to change. Zeus Room Full Day Hire: $350+GST ($30 for an additional hour) Half Day Hire: $175+GST ($30 for an additional hour up to 1 hour, anything more and Full Day hire booking is required) Lotus Room Full Day Hire: $200+GST ($25 for an additional hour) Half Day Hire: $100+GST ($25 for an additional hour up to 1 hour, anything more and Full Day hire booking is required)
  • Can I bring catering?
    Yes, but please remove all rubbish and scraps from the venue and place them into bins situated outside in the area between the two buildings.
  • Are there any restrictions when hiring the venue?
    All events need to be in alignment with The Life Centre’s Mission and Vision and activities need to be for participants to pursue self-exploration, growth, and re-discover personal peace and well-being. E.g. Meditation, Yoga, Energy Healing, Breathwork, Nutrition, Holistic Health, Spirituality, Sound Healing, and other similar or related activities.
  • Is there parking on site?
    There is no parking available for event participants during The Life Centre's operating hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm) in The Life Centre carpark, these are for our appointment clients only. We ask that your guests park on the surrounding streets. One carpark can be allocated to the Hirer only and will be allocated at the time of key collection. Parking may be available on the weekend; however The Life Centre cannot guarantee or reserve parks as there may be multiple events occurring at the Centre. If there is parking available the Hirer needs to ensure that no vehicle obstructs access in any way, blocks other vehicles from exiting the property or contravenes any restricted parking signs.
  • How long do I have access to the venue on the day of my event?
    There are two hire options you can book. Full day / 8-hour hire: 9am–5pm with an option to extend for an additional hourly fee. Or Half-day / 4-hour hire: 8:30am–12:30pm, 1pm–5pm or 5:30pm–9:30 pm with the option to extend for an additional fee for up to 1 hour.
  • Do you require a bond?
    Yes, a $250 refundable bond is required 4 days before the first event. For Regular Hire, this can be refunded after each event or at the end of the total hire-age, as per the hirer's request. Bond payment is required to be paid via credit or debit card via a payment link.
  • What forms of payment do you take?
    Payment of the Venue Hire Fee can be made via bank transfer, credit or debit card, eftops or cash. The bond payment needs to be paid via credit or debit card via Stripe, however, if this is not possible e.g. due to being overseas, we can arrange for Bank Transfer.
  • How do I hold a date?
    We can pencil a booking in for up to 4 days, if after 4 days we have not received confirmation, we will release the date.
  • Can I use candles or incense?
    Candles are allowed as decorations, as long as the candles are in a container and the flame is lower than the top of the container. No open flame allowed. Candles or incense should not be placed directly on the floor or surfaces. Any damage to the venue will be debited from the bond.
  • Can I hire equipment?
    Yes, Mats, bolsters, belts and cork blocks can be hired for an additional cost of $75 + GST.
  • When I am finished with my event, what do I do?
    The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the hired space is left clean and ready for the next user. · This includes wiping down whiteboards, tables and benches, restacking furniture and equipment, mopping up spills and sweeping the floors. · Any furniture moved must be returned to the original space. · Remove rubbish from rooms and place it into bins situated outside in the area between the two buildings. · Used cups, plates and cutlery must be rinsed and placed in the dishwasher and the dishwasher turned on. · Any hot water urn provided in the hire space must be switched off, emptied, unplugged and returned to the kitchen. · Heaters and lights must be switched off. · Toilet areas are to be left in a clean and tidy state. · The property is to be secured, locked, and alarmed. · Key returned to the designated area.
